Affiliate Compliance

At Natural Premium Brands, every aspect of our business must adhere to the very same principles that bind and guide us. This all inclusive approach encompasses all our business affiliates, from big name distributors stateside, to our farmers in Uruguay, all must meet the same criteria and conduct their business in a manner that complements our own values and commitments. To that end we've implemented and certified a number of corporate initiatives and management programs that all our partner farms and processing facilities must comply with. In an effort to better gauge compliance we've formed a comprehensive corporate committee to develop and implement consistent protocols across all areas of concern, including but not limited to affiliate compliance, employee diversity, food safety, quality assurance, sustainable practices, and continued innovation in production, procurement and management systems. The initiatives developed by NPB include policies, employee training, milestones and metrics, corrective and disciplinary action, third-party auditing, and executive review.

Food Safety & Quality Assurance

Natural Premium Brands is committed to conducting its business in compliance with all applicable environmental and workplace laws and regulations in a manner that has the highest regard for the safety and well-being of its employees and the general public. Food safety is at the heart of our business. We take it very seriously, and we continually review every aspect of our operations to ensure we are doing everything possible to provide safe, nutritious products to our customers and consumers. As a fully integrated company, Natural Premium Brands monitors every aspect of the production process – from the farm to the processing plant – to ensure we are providing our customers with premium products. Our processing facilities are regularly inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) to ensure that our food products meet federal food safety standards. We continually invest in product quality, safety and service to provide our customers with only the highest quality food products.

 

Each year we conduct numerous food safety and quality system audits using accredited, independent auditing firms that are recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative. These audits are used to evaluate a plant's food safety and quality assurance programs. We conduct a rigorous food safety training program for our employees throughout the enterprise. Providing all new employees with rigourous in-depth training on quality assurance (QA) and food safety issues, including additional job-specific training depending on the employee's role in the production environment. At Natural Premium Brands, all plant employees, management and QA/HACCP staff receive ongoing training on food safety policies and practices to ensure that our products continually meet our high standards of safety and quality.

In the process, we've established strategic alliances and have fostered business partnerships that have increased our capacity to store, procure, package and ship with unparalleled efficiency and flexibility.
